Dr Kelly Yeo, BVSc

Dr Kelly Yeo is a small-animal veterinarian practising in Singapore, with more than 16 years of clinical experience caring for dogs and cats. She graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Melbourne in 2009.

Her clinical interests include geriatric medicine, chronic disease management, palliative care and canine longevity.

Over years of caring for older dogs, Kelly became increasingly interested in what could be done before a dog became frail or seriously unwell. Many of the problems that affect dogs later in life — loss of muscle, declining mobility, dental disease, chronic organ disease and subtle changes in appetite, weight or behaviour — begin well before owners would consider their dog to be old.

This led to the development of Canine Longevity Academy.

Kelly's approach to longevity is not centred around finding a single supplement, diet or treatment that promises to extend lifespan. Instead, she focuses on protecting healthspan: maintaining muscle and mobility, supporting good nutrition, recognising disease earlier, monitoring organ health and helping dogs remain comfortable and engaged as they age.

Her work also includes caring for dogs with advanced chronic disease and helping families navigate palliative and end-of-life care. This has strongly influenced her approach to longevity. Extending life only matters when quality of life is protected alongside it.

Through Canine Longevity Academy, Kelly translates veterinary medicine and current research into practical information that dog owners can understand and use when making decisions with their own veterinarian.

Canine Longevity Academy was founded by Dr Kelly Yeo, BVSc, a veterinarian practising in Singapore with a special interest in senior-dog care, chronic disease management, palliative care and canine longevity.
